History

The root of Harper Adams University can be traced back to 1901 with the establishment of Harper Adams College. The original land was donated by Thomas Harper Adams, a wealthy Shropshire gentleman farmer.

In 1998, Harper Adams College gained the title of University College, and finally, in 2012, the institute was granted its university status.
